More about Fi: My name is Fi and I have a lifelong passion for creativity, training originally as a sculptor. From my earliest days I have delighted in beauty and sharing the wonders I find in the world. I adore flowers. My childhood was fuelled by bringing beautiful flowers I found on my walks and bike-rides to my parents. I love to pick them, re-create them, grow them and photograph them.
As an artist I have worked with many mediums from clay, to wood, plaster, paint, bronze, willow, ice (yes!), paper, paint, and photography. I have photographed animals, nature and people with equal delight. I have worked with a florist and also spent many years happily working as a gardener in private gardens. My muse is the natural world.
The world of paper and creating with paper, wire and mixed media is incredible. It all began as a way to focus my creativity whilst in bed recovering with a broken ankle. It immediately took me by storm. It's super engaging and fun, immersive and satisfying. It really is amazing what can be created. From flowers to foliage, birds, butterflies and plants such as cyclamen in pots.
When you join me for a workshop, I share that delight with you. I guide and encourage you through some simple processes so you can get stuck in. You will go home with something that you have made. And that is a brilliant feeling!
