12 Chocolate Eggs filled with Salted Caramel. Layers of dark and milk chocolate are then filled with ganache and gently salted caramel before being wrapped in a fine sugar shell and life-like speckles.
We couldn’t resist having a stork egg box when we heard about the reintroduction program at Knepp.
These delicious eggs are made with buttery salted caramel and ganache, and the use of a touch of ‘fleur de sel’ salt in the caramel intensifies the flavour.
This box is part of a collaboration with Knepp Estate and their pioneering re-wilding project.

White storks have been missing from Britain for 600 years. In 2016 the White Stork Project began a reintroduction program, and the first wild stork chick hatched at Knepp in 2020, in the top of an oak tree. Now you can see them everywhere at Knepp, circling in the thermals, nesting in our trees and throwing their heads back in their celebratory bill-clatter.
With artwork by Madeleine Floyd, illustrator of the beautiful book ‘Birdsong’, each box is a work of art in itself before you even open it!

Although these may not quite be twitcher-accurate, these stork eggs are part of the Chocolate Detective’s Curated Collection – her very favourite products from a lifetime of tasting chocolate.
Artwork is by Madeleine Floyd who has two lovely books of bird illustrations, ‘Birdsong’ and ‘Chickens, Ducks and Geese.’

While we do normally adhere strictly to our Made In The UK ethos, these eggs are made in France, as no chocolate maker in the UK can make the eggs to the Chocolate Detective's exacting standards, so she had to source from a maker from our near neighbours - we're sure you'll agree that they are worth the little detour!
