Tiger Moth Decoration

Moths are so beautiful and very under rated in terms of insects. They also play such an important role in pollinating plants. This tiger moth decoration  shows all of the intricate beauty of their wings and the striking colours they have.

Angela from Dapple and Dot hand draws, laser cuts and prints the decorations herself in the New Forest.

Each one is made from sustainably sourced, 4mm walnut wood, and printed using high quality UV sealed inks. They are then strung with a pearlescent embroidery thread.

Please be aware that as wood is a natural product, each moth will be totally individual and have a different grain to it. These are single sided decorations, so would be best used hanging against a wall or from a door knob. Please do not hang these decorations outside as exposure to the elements could cause the wood to swell or crack. Please be aware that these moths are intended to be used as decorations, not as toys! Although walnut is a strong wood, the antennae of the moth can be fragile, so please be careful with them.
